West Eaton (17 Oct 1918)

Mrs. John Abel and Miss Olga Meinholdt did sewing for Hattie Susa last week.

John Smith expects to leave for a training camp soon. His many friends will miss his smiling face.

The Glee Club met at the home of Mrs. A.B. Davey in honor of John Smith Sunday evening.

Mrs. H. Bostwick and son Jason spent Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Theo. Meinholt.

The body of Arnold Halle arrived at Greenwood Thursday evening and burial took place Friday afternoon at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. A.B. Davey and Mrs. H. Bostwick of West Eaton branch of the Red Cross delivered 7 pairs of socks at Greenwood Friday.

Mrs. H. Bostwick visited Mrs. E. Keefe and Mrs. Borgers Thursday.

Word was received from Carl Davey that his hearing could be helped, but not entirely cured. We are glad that he has been given some encouragement.

Lyle Bostwick received a postal from Harold Smith of Illinois, stating that he is homesick for old Wisconsin.

John Stanton was in our vicinity Saturday buying cattle.
