John Aichinger was arrested Saturday night on a charge of selling liquor. The case was postponed to Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Martin left last night for a brief visit at Chicago.

Miss Helen Zimmer was home from Camp Douglas for a few days visit last week.

Hans Brandt, enlisted in the Navy, came home from Long Island, N.Y., Monday for a furlough.

Wm. Meihak and John Wieting and their families autoed to Fairchild and Merrillan Wednesday.

Glynn Stoffell returned to Harvard University on Saturday after recuperating at home for a couple weeks.

An overheated furnace pipe filled the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin with smoke Monday evening, but the danger was soon overcome.

Mrs. George Rothenbach of Oshkosh is here visiting her husband who is doing special work for the Exemption Board at the court house.

Dr. W.E. Bradbury returned to his duties at Great Lakes yesterday. His wife and daughter, who have been visiting here for a month, returned with him.

Miss Flarie Drescher has accepted the position as cow tester for the Neillsville Cow Testing Association in the place of Warren Strohecker, who is now at Madison in government service. There are now nineteen women doing this work in Wisconsin.
