Globe (31 Oct 1918)

Ernest Scheel, wife and two children autoed over from Turtle Lake Saturday for a brief visit with his parents and other relatives.

Joe Dukec has been at Manitowoc the past week visiting his home folks. Walter Grap took charge of the cheese factory during his absence.

Arnold Dudei has been quite sick with quinsy.

Miss Dorothy Spranger has been staying a few weeks with Mrs. Ed. Klueckman.

School here commenced Monday, Oct. 21, with Marie Leatherdale of Loyal as teacher.

Herman Winkleman of Chicago, who is visiting his sister, Mrs. Paul Steffens in Levis, was the guest of Gus. Grap family over Sunday.

Mrs. Linus Prock entertained a number of ladies at a carpet rag bee Friday afternoon.

Mrs. G. Mallig has been visiting the past week with her daughter in Granton.

Mrs. Rob Schlinkert has been sick and Dr. Matheson is in attendance.
