Pribbernow, Charles "Chuck" A. (6 MAY 1924 - 21 JUN 2015)
Charles "Chuck" A. Pribbernow, age 91, of Owen, passed away on Sunday, June 21,
2015 at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at
Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood. Rev. Brian Campbell will officiate.
Inurnment will be held in the church cemetery with Military Honors provided by
the Lublin American Legion Post #547, the Owen American Legion Post #123 and the
Owen-Withee Vets Club. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26 from 4:00
until 8:00 PM at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen and from 10:00 AM until
the time of service Saturday at the church.
Chuck was born May 6, 1924 in Withee, the son of Alvin and Martha (Hanneman)
Pribbernow. He attended Clark School in Taylor County. Chuck was drafted into
the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines during WWII. He was united in
marriage to Ruth Ilene Awe on August 11, 1945 in Greenwood.
Chuck farmed for over 53 years. He also had a milk route, worked for Mathy Black
Top and General Telephone. He was a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church
and served on the church council and was an usher for 50 years. Chuck also was
the Longwood Township Supervisor, Director of Warner Mutual Insurance Company, a
delegate of Morning Glory Milk Plant and served on the South Bright School
Board. He was also a member of the Owen American Legion Post #123. Chuck enjoyed
wood working and word puzzles. Chuck especially enjoyed his eight grandchildren
and eleven great-grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Ilene of 70 years; three children: Butch (Dawn)
of Owen, Judy (Jim) Haack of MN and Jan (Jeff) Petersen of MN; eight
grandchildren: Michael (Randon) Lovering, Jessica Lovering and Jennifer Lovering,
Randy (Karen) Pribbernow, Kristi (Aaron) Duis, Sharon Pribbernow, Jeff (Tracy)
Haack and Rebecca (Tony) Hanson; and eleven great-grandchildren. He is further
survived by his brother, Alvin (Alice) of Owen; three sisters-in-law, Ruth
Pribbernow of WY, Arline Pribbernow of Marshfield and Kathy Pribbernow of
Sheboygan and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: Rueben, Earl,
Benjamin, Donald and Robert; three sisters: Evelyn, Lucille and Betty.
