Prior to the graduation exercises, Mass was celebrated in the Hospital Chapel by
the Rev. John Agnew. The school pins were blessed and distributed to the
graduates.
The commencement address was given by Miss Mary Bartosic, R.N. Educational
Administrator of Winnebago State Hospital, Winnebago, Wis. . Following her talk
, Mrs. Lila Kieffer, Assistant Instructor at the School of Nursing, sang "No Man
Is an Island."

acted as Master of Ceremonies for the conferring of diplomas. The nurse
graduates received their diplomas from Helen L. Brunclik, R.N., Educational

graduates then repeated the Nightingale Pledge in unison.
Dr. River presented special awards to nursing students who earned highest
academic honors. Following the benediction, the new graduates left the
auditorium as the recessional was played by Mr. Maldon Plank.
A reception for graduates, families and friends was held in the Tea room at the
Nurses Residence immediately following the ceremony.
