Schoengarth, Harris L. (24 December 1930 - 9 July 2015)

Harris L. Schoengarth, 84, of Neillsville passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

He was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Milwaukee to Albert and Rhoda (Davis) Schoengarth. After graduating from Neillsville High School in 1949, he later married Ann N. Francis in 1952. Harris had numerous jobs until his partnership with Leo and Louis Kessler. Together they owned and operated Grassland Feeder Pigs. After selling the business, he worked at Sav-Rite Building Center and Nelson Muffler until his retirement in the mid-90s.

Harris is survived by his wife, Ann; four children: Michael (Debbie), Mark (Lynn), Susan (Michael) Bright and Scott (Becky); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gayle (Geri) Schoengarth; a sister, Bonnie (Michael) North; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
