David F. Rosiejka, son of Mrs. Michael Rosiejka, Lublin, Wis., was promoted to Army Sergeant June 1, 1968, while assigned to the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam.

Sgt. Rosiejka is a squad leader in Company A, 1st Battalion of the division's 18th Infantry near Di An. He entered the Army in February 1967, completed basic training at Ft. Bliss, Texas and was last stationed at Ft. Jackson, S.C., before arriving overseas in July 1967.

The 21 year old soldier graduated in 1965 from Gilman High School. He has received the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Combat Infantryman Medal, and the Purple Heart Medal.
