Ferris, Earl (21 May 1895 - 25 November 1973)
Earl Ferris, 78, formerly of the Chili area, died Sunday morning at the Havenet
Nursing Home in Owen. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the
Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, with the Rev. L. L. McCormick of Chili
officiating. Burial was to be made in the Yolo Cemetery at Chili.
Born May 21, 1895, in Dousman, Mr. Ferris lived on a farm in the Town of Fremont
until he entered the nursing home. The son of the late John and Margaret (Elting)
Ferris, he is survived by a nephew, Harold Smith of Cleghorn, Ia., and a niece,
Mrs. Leonard L. Loveland.
Pallbearers were to be Duane Rollins, Martin Radue, Rueben Wundrow, Alfred
Grimsby, Walter Foemmel and Everett Kauffman. Mrs. Norman Faber was to be the
soloist, and Mrs. Harold Montag, the accompanist.
