Singleton, Edna A. (Knoll) (4 MAR 1921 - 17 JUL 2015)
Edna A. Singleton, 94, of Medford died Friday, July 17 at Deerview Meadows
Assisted Living Center in Medford.
Private Funeral Services were held at Hemer Funeral Homes in Medford with Pastor
James Krueger officiating. Interment took place at Perkinstown Community
Cemetery in Perkinstown.
Edna was born on March 4, 1921 in Biron to the late Frank J. and Francis (Rokus)
Knoll.
Edna attended Gilman Area Schools. On November 10, 1945 in Medford she married
Herbert E. Singleton and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1972.
After her marriage Edna and Herbert moved to Medford where she was a loving
mother and homemaker for her four children. She enjoyed going to the senior
center and taking a bus to bingo events.
She is survived by her children, Elsie Mesner of Medford, Irwin Singleton of
Augusta and Harvey Singleton of Boulder Junction; a nephew, Wesley (Jean)
Singleton of Medford; and two grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son,
Franklin G. Singleton on June 9, 1997; a brother, Elmer Knoll and a sister,
Florence Singleton.
Memorials can be made to Edna’s family to be designated at a later date.
