Sternitzky, Bonnie L. (Marriage - 1 December 1973)
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sternitzky, Rt. 1 Granton, presented their daughter, Miss
Bonnie L. Sternitzky of Minneapolis, Mn., in marriage to Daniel C. Boyum of
Inver Grove Heights, Mn, on Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. The groom
is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Boyum.
Officiating at the 3 p.m. ceremony was the Rev. Elfred T. Keller of Pittsville
and Rev. Stanley Aukema of Marshfield. The organist was David Boyum. Soloist
Carleen Sillampa sang “I’ll Walk with God” and “The lord’s Prayer.” A reception
was held at Bali Hai supper club.
For her marriage, the bride chose a gown of white velvet. The bodice formed a
V-neckline at the front and at the back, and was accented by lace edging trim to
match lace trim at the empire waistline and sleeves. A fingertip mantilla veil
and a bouquet of purple and white roses and carnations completed her ensemble.
White lace also trimmed the waistline, neck and sleeves of the purple velvet
gowns worn by Mrs. Betty Baxter of Columbus, Matron of honor, and by Mrs.
Barbara Teter of Granton, Mrs. Rhoda Sternitzky of Granton and Mrs. Joan Tavares
of Minneapolis, bridesmaids. Each carried a white rose with a purple ribbon.
Pedro Tavares, Minneapolis, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Gary Carolyn of
Austin, Mn., Ernest Sternitzky of Granton and David Jensen of St. Paul, Mn.
Guests were seated by Dale Teter of Granton, Jeff Baxter of Columbus and Robert
Laufle and Richard Haney of St. Paul.
The new Mrs. Boyum attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and graduated
from the Minneapolis Vocational School of Nursing in 1970. She is employed at
Fairview-Southdale Hospital. Her husband graduated from Mankato State College in
19666 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and industrial arts.
He is employed by a supermarket chain.
The newlyweds will make their home at 3994 Craig Way, Inver Grove Heights, Mn.
They will join a Caribbean cruise in January for a wedding trip.
