Miss Daphne Beeckler is hospitalized in Neillsville.
Veefkind homemakers and their husband are to meet Saturday evening at the home
of Mrs. Rita Pescinski on Rt. 2 Spencer, for a Christmas potluck lunch and
social evening.
Granton Royal Neighbors met Thursday evening with Mrs. Otto Schmidtke. A prayer
was read for the late Mrs. Ethel Berg and Mrs. Leona Treu, both members of the
Royal Neighbors of America. A noon Christmas dinner party was planned for
December 27 with Miss Ruth Pietenpol. There will be a gift exchange, holiday
program and election of officers for 1974. Members voted a donation to the
Wisconsin room of the Royal Neighbor home at Rock Island, Il.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert, Jr., and family of Melrose Park, Il., were
Thanksgiving Day guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert, Sr. Sunday
evening callers at the Hillert home were Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Trimberger.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stevens of Spencer, Miss Mabel Williams and Mrs. Otto
Schmidtke were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. William Schmidtke.
The Friendship Club is to meet Tuesday, December 11, at the Glen Lavey home.
There will be a lunch and an exchange of gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Arno Guk of Marshfield visited last Wednesday with Mrs. Otto Anding.
On Saturday, Mrs. Anding and Mrs. Helen Tolley spent the afternoon with Mrs.
Mamie Riedel.
