Citation to accompany the award of the Air Force Commendation Medal to Richard
R. Rogalski.
Technical Sergeant Richard F. Rogalski distinguished himself by meritorious
services during the period 1 Mar 1968 through 4 Mar 1968 while assigned to
Detachment 3, 119th USAF Field Activity Squadron. Through superior knowledge,
awareness of the high priority mission, and a deep sense of responsibility,
combined with outstanding leadership ability, he aided the detachment commander
and the commander of the organization to which attached immeasurably in
providing superior support to the assigned mission of this detachment. Because
most of the equipment utilized was no usable in its originally Air Force
procured configuration, Sgt. Rogalski monitored modifications and implemented
necessary innovations that has been invaluable where safe and efficient
operation of a new and experimental fuel was involved. The distinctive
accomplishments of Sergeant Rogalski reflects credit upon himself and the United
State Air Force.
Son of Mrs. Evelyn Rogalski, Technical Sergeant Richard F. Rogalski has 17 years
of service in and is now stationed in the Philippine Islands, waiting for his
wife and family to join him.
