Behrens, David (17 FEB 1945 - 20 APR 2015)

David H. Behrens, 70. of Eau Claire, WI, peacefully passed away April 20th, 2015, after a battle with cancer. Born on Feb. 17th, 1945, in Greenwood, WI, to Edwin and Violet (Malen) Behrens.

He graduated from Lemont High School, Lemont, IL, "'Class of 63," He enlisted in the US. Navy in 1965. David was a frontline combat Corpsman with the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Vietnam 1966-1967, serving with distinction in the horrific battles with the North Vietnamese Army in the demilitarized zone area (DMZ).  David was proud of his service with the Marines, and he and his family would like him to be remembered as one who did his duty at great peril to the end.  David retired after 34 years as an over the road semi driver. He Was also a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the NRA.

David is survived by his wife, Jan, of 46 yrs; daughter, Ramiei, sons, Ryan (Holly), Nathan and Brandon; grandchildren, Jake (Emily), Jade (Chris), Amber. and twins, Jack and George, Also, sister, Judy (Win.) Maxwell and brother, Edwin (Wanda) Behrens, He was preceded in death by his parents, Services will be held Oct 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial.
