Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wrobel and three children, Richard Jr., Christine and Virginia of Chicago arrived August 3rd and will spend three weeks at the Ed Judycki farm.

Mesdames Pauline Lencz, Rose Reyzer and Alice Lencz hosted a bridal shower in honor of Miss Dolores Sciezor on August 1st at the residence of the Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lencz.

The Lublin ball club was defeated by Abbotsford on the home diamond last Sunday by 15 to 1.

Mr. Frank Maslowski, former Lublinite, visited with friends in the area last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Peleschak of Indiana spent last week visiting with relatives and friends.

Several local people attended the 50th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tyznik Sr. this past Saturday at the Legion Hall in Thorp. Church services in honor of of the couple were held at 2:30 p.m. at the HOly Assumption Orthodox Church in Lublin.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Cudecky of Chicago arrived August 2nd and spent the weekend with the Ed Budrus family.

Mrs. Mary Budrus, Miss Marcella Budrus, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Budrus and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klewicki of Edgar motored to Minneapolis on July 28th to attend the christening of Janet Chris, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Chris. The infant is a great-granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Budrus.

A severe wind and electric storm occurred on August 6th.
