Butler (6 December-1973)
Recent visitors at the Hugo Kuehls from this area were, Mrs. Arthur Reineke,
Mrs. Chester Daines, Mrs. Jack Conklin and Mrs. Pirl Burrington.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bizjak and family of Wausau spent Thanksgiving weekend at the
John Bizjaks.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Conklin were pleasantly surprised on Thanksgiving Day. Their
son MMSN Jack came home unexpectedly from Norfolk, Va., where he is stationed.
He returned to his post on Sunday.
Mrs. Mike Clerf visited mrs. Chester Daines on Sunday.
Thanksgiving Day guests at the home of Mrs. John Kile were Mr. and Mrs. David
Kile of Thorp, Mrs. Bergant of Willard, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Kile of Owen and John
Kile and Debbie Nelson of Milwaukee.
Mrs. Curt Mayenschein and her sister, Mrs. Lucy Harrington of Milwaukee, visited
their cousin, Mrs. Lottie Morrison, on Friday and Mrs. John Kile and Mrs.
Georgia Collins on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hall and son, Bob of Wisconsin Rapids, spent Thanksgiving
at the Curt Mayenschein home.
Peter Possely of Chicago spent from Sunday until Tuesday with his aunt, Mrs.
John Kile. Mrs. Bud Kile of Owen took him to Abbotsford on Tuesday and he
returned to Chicago from there.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wavrunek and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haut of Neillsville
were Thanksgiving Day guests at the Collins home.
Mr. and Mrs. Pirl Burrington entertained the following on Thanksgiving Day: Mr.
and Mrs. Reuben Burrington and family of Albertville, Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne
Parent and son of Humbird, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McIntyre and daughters of Elk
Mound, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Guibord and son of Chippewa Falls, Marylou Rowell of
Mondovi, and Paulette Burrington of Chippewa Falls.
Rev. Harold Palmer celebrated his birthday on Thursday by entertaining Rev. and
Mrs. Le Roy Gross of Greenwood for dinner and Mr. and Mrs. Pirl Burrington for
supper. In the evening he was pleasantly surprised by a group of young people
from the Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood who came to help him celebrate
and wish him many more “Happy Birthdays”.
Mrs. Joseph Kulwiec and Kate Hillbo of Thorp called at the Palmer home on
Thursday.
