Witte, Deana Lee (27 MAR 1955 - 26 JUL 2015)
Deana Lee Witte, age 60, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Colonial
Center in Colby, WI. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July
31, 2015 at First United Church of Christ in Colby. Pastor Teri Hanson will
officiate. Interment will be held in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Family and
friends are welcome from 9:00 AM until time of service Friday at the church. The
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is entrusted with the arrangements.
Deana was born on March 27, 1955. She is the daughter of Dean and Doris (Geiger)
Witte. She attended and graduated from Colby High School. After high school she
continued her education at Wausau Technical College. Deana worked for Data Flow
for 35 years until her heart surgery in July of 2009.
Deana is survived by her parents; Dean and Doris Witte of Colby, 2 sisters;
Denise (Al) Bach of Dorchester and Donna (Wayne) Rau of Dorchester, 4 nephews;
Preston Rau, Vince (Allison) Rau, Matt (Aimee) Bach, and Luke (Jess) Bach and 2
nieces; Maggie (Andrew) Geiger and Sarah (James) Kosmalski. Deana's cat, Duke
will miss her greatly. She will sadly be missed by all her great-nieces and
great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Debra Witte (May 12, 1956) and her
brother David Witte (January 23, 2007).
A special thank you to the staff at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Colby for the
wonderful care Deana received in the past 5 years. And also to the staff at The
Colonial Center for being so kind and caring for Deana in her last days of her
life.
