Kowalewski, Chester (22 JUL 1928 – 16 JUL 2015)

Chester Kowalewski, born July 22, 1928, passed away at his home on July 16, 2015.

He lived most of his life in Chicago until he retired, then he and his wife moved to Hazelhurst where he enjoyed his retirement on Lake 17. They then moved to Spencer to be closer to their daughter and small grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his son.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Engel) Kowalewski; step-daughter, Michelle Ehlert (Dave); grandsons, Eric, Dakota and Logan Ehlert; and a granddaughter, Hope Ehlert. He is also survived by two grown grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Kowalewski.

There will be a memorial service for Chet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Methodist church in Spencer as he chose to donate his body to science at the University of Madison.
