Miss Carol Gottschalk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gottschalk, Unity, and
Ronald Neitzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neitzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Neitzel, Unity, were united in marriage June 8, 1968 at the Zion Lutheran
Church, Colby.
Rev. David Pankow officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony with Richard Warren singing
The Song of Ruth and The Wedding Prayer.
The bride chose a sheer taffeta gown with a scoop neckline trimmed with sequins
and an empire waist with a front panel trimming the A-line skirt. A Watteau
train attached at the shoulder and a bouffant sequined veil completed her
ensemble.
She carried a bouquet of red roses and white jackstraws.
The miad of honor was Miss Donna Gottschalk of Unit and bridesmaids were Mrs.
Harold Utke, Curtiss and Mrs. Boyd Plummer of Marshfield.
Rod Neitzel, Unity, was the best man and Harold Utke, Curtiss, and Boyd Plummer
of Marshfield were the groomsmen.
The bride's attendants wore long mint green gowns and matching jackets with
silver buttons trimming the back. Each carried a bouquet of pink daisies.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Unity Hall. Supper was
served at the Zion Lutheran Church Hall, and the evening was spent in dancing at
the Unity Hall. The bride is a graduate of the Colby High School. The groom is
employed at the Riplinger Cheese Factory.
Following a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Curtiss.
Guests came from Colby, Unity, Curtiss, Withee, Marshfield, Wausau, Edgar,
Oakfield, Milwaukee, Mayville, Madison, Spencer, North Dakota and Neillsville.
