Ormond, Barbara Ann (Marriage - 8 December 1973)
Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday at the Greenwood United Methodist Church
by Miss Barbara Ann Ormond and Robert Raymond Petkovsek. The Rev. Eugene S.
Antrim officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Ormond, Jr., of Rt. 3 Neillsville, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton
Petkovsek, Willard.
As she was presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of
traditional satin styled with a lace-covered bodice and slightly-gathered
organza overskirt with a hemline ruffle of light blue lace. The gown, designed
by the bride’s mother, was framed by a fingertip veil accented with light blue
ribbon trim. Red roses and baby’s breath with sprigs of holly greens formed the
bridal bouquet.
Maid of honor Linda Lueck and bridesmaids Janice Ormond, Linda Ormond and Patti
Grosskopp, the latter of River Falls, appeared in royal blue empire-waist gown
highlighted by white lace cummerbunds and bibs. They Carried arrangements of
white pompon mums and red roses with holly greens.
The groom was attended by William Kurasz, Jr., as bestman and by Bernard Kolano,
Rodger Gregorich and Ronald Ormond as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by
Dennis Walker and Gary Johnson.
Duets, “Young Love,” “A Time for Us” and “O Perfect Love,” were sung by Tammy
Schultz and Barbara Richmond. Mrs. Donald Schultz was the organist.
The Greenwood American Legion Hall was chosen for a wedding reception and dance.
The new Mrs. Petkovsek, a 1971 graduate of Neillsville High School, attended the
University of Wisconsin-River Falls for two years and is employed by a
Marshfield firm. Her husband graduated from Greenwood High School in 1969. He is
employed in Neillsville.
Following their return from a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin, the couple
will live on Rt. 3 Neillsville.
