Dennis Bowen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Les Bowen of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), and
Cindy Kocian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kocian of rural Colby, received
honor grades during the past semester at Wis. State University, Stevens Point.
Dr. Gordon Haferbecker, WSU vice president for academic affairs, announced at
the time that 306 students received honors with averages ranging from 3.2 to
3.5; 190 received high honors for 3.5 to 3.75 averages, and 144 achieved grades
ranging from 3.75 to 4.0. Out of a total of 5,700 students enrolled, 55 earned
straight A's for the spring semester of study.
