Granton (13 December 1973)

The Friendly Neighbors Christmas party is to be held Friday evening at the Dale Tyler home in Marshfield.

Mrs. Lloyd Spry returned home Friday from St. Paul, Mn, where she spent a week following a two and one-half week stay in California. Mrs. Spry was called to California by the death of a brother Ross Foster, of Bakersfield. Her daughter, Mr. Ray Workman, brought her to Granton.

Miss Daphne Beeckler remains hospitalized in Neillsville.

Veefkind Homemakers met Saturday evening at the Ralph Pescinski home on Rt. 2 Spencer, for a Christmas party. Games were played, secret pals revealed, gifts exchanged and new names drawn for the coming year. The next meeting will be held January 22 at the Marvin Schmoll home, also on Rt. 2.

Mrs. Mabel Doehr of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Doehr and Daryl of Rt. 2 Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Lucien Moh and Mitzi observed Mrs. Mabel Doehr’s birthday with a dinner party Friday evening at Bali Hai supper club.

Granton Homemakers are to meet this (Thursday) evening at 8 o’clock for a Christmas dinner gathering at The Triangle.

Mr. and Mrs. John Salzer of Wausau spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Downer in Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ganther and Mrs. Floyd Pietenpol were also Sunday dinner guests and spent the evening at the Downer home.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero spent the past two weeks visiting with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Fero and family in Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ayala and family in Chicago, Il. They returned home Sunday.
