Franz, Albert (2 APR 1890 – 20 JUL 1968)
Services were held for Albert Arthur Franz, 78, of Colby, Wednesday, July 24, at
Zion Lutheran Church at Colby.
He died Saturday noon, July 20, 1968, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Rev. David Pankow officiated at the 2 p.m. service and interment was made in the
Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby handled the arrangements.
Albert Franz was born in Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), April 2, 1890, and received
his education in the Colby school. He married Augusta Wiedenhoeft in Colby on
June 15, 1911, and lived his entire life in Colby, with the exception of three
years when he worked in Seattle during World War II. Mr. Franz was a carpenter
and was also affiliated with the local Ford Garage for a time. He was a member
of Zion Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, two children, Margaret (Mrs. Keith Beechel) and
Marcella, both of Seattle, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also
surviving is one brother, Henry Franz of Colby, and one sister, Minnie (Mrs.
Carl Sabler) of Colby.
Preceding his in death were two children, who died in infancy, and two sisters.
