Dux, Kenneth W. “Kenny” (14 November 1924 - 21 July 2015) With Flag
Kenneth W. Dux (Kenny), 90, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 21, 2015,
surrounded by his family.
The son of Alfred and Ellen Dux, Kenny was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Greenwood.
Kenny graduated from Owen High School in 1942 and married the love of his life,
Margaret M. (Peggy) Jepsen, June 8, 1946, in Neillsville after an honorable
discharge from the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was proud of his military service in
WWII, flying 44 missions in the South pacific.
Kenny and Peggy raised their two daughters, Barbara and Janice, in Stoughton,
where they lived for nearly 40 years. Kenny worked for nelson Industries. They
returned to Neillsville in 1994, where they lived until 2011. They then spent
six months living in Berlin, WI. Peggy preceded Kenny in death in January 2012.
After her passing, he moved to Princeton, WI, and lived with his family.
Kenny is survived by his two daughters: Barbara (Michael) Mullally of Princeton
and Janice (David) Olso0n of Northville, MI; five grandchildren: Sarah (Michael)
Gerber of Berlin, Chad (Robyn) Olson of Livonia, MI, Heather (Bret) Steffen of
Berlin, John (Andrea) Olson of Livonia, MI, and Krista Olson of Traverse City,
MI; and great-grandchildren: Melissa, Sam, jack, Marlena, Benjamin, Lila, Dylan,
Ewan and Amelia. He is also survived by a sister, Patricia (Duane) Anding of
Granton and her family; a brother, Jeffrey (Jackie) Dux of Dodgeville and his
family; and the family of his sister, Evelyn, who preceded him in death in 2006.
He loved listening to books on tape, which filled many hours. A memorial will be
given in Kenny’s name to the Princeton Public Library and The Highground
Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville.
You cannot replace Kenny as a person but only hope to emulate his happiness and
kindness as a friend, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In place of
taking Kenny up to heaven quickly to be with his beautiful blonde and forever
dance partner, Peggy, God has graced us with many memories and moments that we
can hold inside our hearts.
A Memorial; Service for both Kenny and Peggy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday,
Aug. 27, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 213 Hill St. in Neillsville. Burial at the
Neillsville City Cemetery and a luncheon at the church will follow the service.
