Rodman, Horace Edwin (3 November 1889 - 22 December 1973)

A native of the Town of Pine Valley, Horace Edwin Rodman of Neillsville, died Saturday December 22, at the age of 84. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was to be made in the Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

Horace Rodman, the son of Adelbert and Hattie King Rodman, was born November 3, 1889, in the Town of Pine Valley and was educated in local schools. He worked on a farm for 14 years, and for the Clark County Highway Department for many years, retiring 17 years ago.

His marriage to the former Mildred Wheelock took place December 29, 1908, in Neillsville. The couple moved to the city in 1952. Mr. Rodman was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge and of the Rebekah Lodge.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are eight children: Cecil Rodman of East Troy, Mrs. Hallie (Ruth) Schultz of Omro, Mrs. Ralph (Birdine) Oman of Jackson, Mi., Bernard Rodman of Hawthorne, Ca., Robert Rodman of Monico, Clyde Rodman of Minocqua, Mrs. Bernard (Ruby) Kuhn of Neillsville and Harley Rodman of Thailand. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
