Granton (27 December 1973)
The choir of the York Center United Methodist Church caroled last Wednesday
evening at Memorial Home.
New York Homemakers are to meet this Thursday evening at 8 o’clock at the home
of Mrs. Marvin Naedler for their annual Christmas party.
Miss Margo Ganther, who teaches in the Cambridge, Mn, school system, is spending
the holiday vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ganther.
Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 is to meet this (Thursday) noon with Miss
Ruth Pietenpol for a potluck dinner and Christmas party. There will also be a
gift exchange and election of officers for 1974.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Schmidtke and family of Stratford were to be Sunday guests
of his mother, Mrs. Otto Schmidtke, for a pre-Christmas dinner. Mrs. Schmidtke
planned to spend Christmas Day at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Degenhardt and family, at Loyal.
The York Center United Methodist Church Christmas program was presented Saturday
evening. A gift exchange and a fellowship hour with cookies, Christmas breads,
punch and coffee followed the program.
Mrs. Myrtie Davis and Warren and Mrs. Ed Lezotte of Pleasant Ridge planned to
visit the ladies’ aunt, Mrs. Jessie Nicks, in Viroqua Saturday.
