Ostenson, Roy (6 May 1898 – 19 Aug 1968)
Funeral services are being held today, August 22, for Roy L. Ostenson, 71,
Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Monday
at 12:20 p.m. of complications of diseases.
The body will lie in state at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen. Services
will be at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss, and interment will be
made in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery there. The Rev. Roger Tellock will
officiate at the services.
Mr. Ostenson was born in the town of Mayville on May 6, 1898. He was never
married.
He received his education in Curtiss public schools, and lived his entire life
on the home farm east of Curtiss. He did some garage work, and although an
invalid for many years, enjoyed hunting and fishing.
For the past seven years he lived at Curtiss with a sister, Miss Eda Ostenson.
Also surviving is another sister, Mrs. Carla Lien, Curtiss, and three nephews
and six nieces. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
