The Schraufnagel family held a reunion Saturday, Aug. 10, 1968. It began with attendance at an 11 o'clock mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, after which dinner was served in the church hall.

Joe Schraufnagel of Glidden, who is 92 years old, was especially honored. A short business meeting was held and another reunion will be held in two years, on the second Saturday in August in the Abbotsford-Colby area. Elmer Schraufnagel of Abbotsford was named to be chairman.

The group adjourned to the Abbotsford Sportsmen's Park for the afternoon and supper. Slide were shownof previous reunions. On display were old homestead papers and a tax receipt dating back to 1876.

Cletus Schraufnagel is presently farming the homestead. The old house was torn down and another rebuilt on the same place.
