Army Chaplain (Captain) Harold G. Woodworth, son of Mrs. Nettie Woodworth,
Colby, received the Army Commendation Medal July 30, 1968, while serving with
the U.S. Army Hospital specialized treatment center at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
Chaplain Woodworth earned the award for meritorious service as a hospital
chaplain.
He entered the army in August 1965 and was last stationed in Vietnam. He has
also received the Bronze Star Medal.
The chaplain graduated in 1951 from Cedarburg High School and in 1958 from
Concordia Seminary, Springfield, Ill. Before entering the army, he was pastor of
the Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. His wife, Bernice, lives at Jacksonville, Fla.
