Olson, Mary Lou (Marriage - 22 December 1973)
Calvary Lutheran Church, Neillsville, was the setting Saturday, December 22,
1973, for the marriage vows between Miss Mary Lou Olson of Richland Center and
Bruce Tessmer of Platteville. The Rev. Ronald Nordin officiated at the 3:30 p.m.
ceremony, which was followed by a dinner in the church fellowship hall.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the former Miss Olson is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Olson of Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Tessmer, Sheboygan
Falls, are the groom’s parents.
Joan Charlson of Evergreen, Co. and Thomas Tessmer of Burlington were the
couple’s attendants. Guests were seated by Larry Olson.
Ellen Olson and Marilyn Galstad sang a duet “The Wedding Song,” to a guitar
accompaniment.
Both graduates of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, the bride graduated
as well from Neillsville High School and her husband, from Sheboygan Falls High
School. She is a third grade teacher in the Richland Center School system. He is
self-employed.
The newlyweds will live on Rt. 1 Richland Center, after January 1, 1974.
