Kingswan, Victor (25 March 1914 - 30 December 1973)
A native of Black River Falls, Victor Kingswan, 59, of St. Paul, Mn, died in St.
Paul December 30. Funeral services were held January 3 from the Malinda
Greengrass home at the Indian Mission, where the body of Mr. Kingswan was in
state. The Rev. Mitchell Whiterabbit of Hudson officiated and burial was made in
the Dells Dam Indian Cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Kingswan, the son of Fred and Alice (Lowe) Kingswan, was born March 25,
1914, at Black River Falls and was educated there. A veteran of World War II, he
served in both the European and Pacific theaters. Following his marriage to the
former Sylvia Thompson, he lived in St. Paul where he worked as a mason by
trade.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include seven children: Sharon Harrison and
Maxine Lubben of Black River Falls, and Charles, Georgia, Fred, Carla and Gail
Kingswan of St. Paul. He is also survived by a sister, Vivian Brown of Madison;
a brother, Vincent Kingswan of St. Paul; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: George Whiting, Irvin Sharpback, Edward DeCora, Eddie
Cleveland, Gary Whiting and Don Anwash.
