Michlig, F. “Tony” (25 JUL 1940 - 3 AUG 2015)
F. “Tony” Michlig, age 75 of Edgar, was welcomed into Heaven on Monday
afternoon, August 3, 2015, after a long battle with health issues.
Tony was born July 25, 1940 in the Town of Cassel, the son of the late Frank and
Delaphine (Nowak) Michlig. He married Rosalie Lang on August 5, 1961 at St.
Patrick’s Parish, Halder, WI.
As a young boy, he played the drums for the family band “The Wisconsin Oilers”.
Tony dairy farmed for much of his life and in 1979 he began growing ginseng,
which he enjoyed very much. He also enjoyed going for breakfast, socializing,
playing cards with neighbors and friends, deer hunting, gardening and was active
within the church.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Tony’s family includes: his wife Rosalie, his four children: Bryan Michlig;
Keith (Angie) Michlig; Linda (Kevin) Kulas and Bonnie Michlig. His
grandchildren: Sonya (Mike) Green, Becky (David) Wright; Melanie Kulas; Rachael
(Joe) Schimmels; Tim (Tatjana) Michlig; Rakel and Katrina Mata. Tony is further
survived by: 14 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sisters:
Frances (Norbert) Lang and Evelyn (Jerome) Schara along with many other
relatives and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Leo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, August 7, 2015
at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Halder. The Rev. Felix Tigoy will officiate
with Rev. Jerome Patric concelebrating. Burial will follow in the parish
cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday at the church in
Halder from 4- 8 pm and again on Friday at the church from 10 until time of
services. A parish rosary service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:30 PM.
