Moczarny, Frances T. (Neiman) (18 JUN 1919 - 29 MAR 2010)
Frances T. Moczarny, 90, Wausau passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 under the
care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Applegate Terrace.
Frances was born June 18, 1919 to Stanley and Mary (Balcer) Neiman. She was the
second oldest of nine children and was a caring and supportive "second mother"
to her younger siblings. Her strong sense of family remained with her throughout
her life. She graduated Salutatorian of the Thorp High School Class of 1937 and
married Leon Moczarny on June 5, 1943 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Thorp. He
survives.
They lived for a time in West Palm Beach, Florida where her first daughter,
Barbara was born. In 1946 Leon and Frances moved to Wausau where she worked
beside him to establish the Dixie Cream Donut Shop, which they owned and
operated for more than 35 years.
Frances was a life-long homemaker, loving wife and mother and a faithful member
of the Catholic Church. She used her creative energies in the care and comfort
of her family and support of her faith, and was an active member of The Church
of St. Anne where she was a member of the Circle of Joy and the Fatima Council.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Leon, Wausau, three daughters,
Barbara (Robert) Murphy, Gloucester, MA, Patricia (David) DeGroot, Puyallup, WA
and Sharon (David) Zenk, Hudson, one son James (Maureen) Moczarny, Green Bay,
nine grandchildren, Sean, Timothy, Joshua and Daniel Murphy, Adrian DeGroot and
Gretchen DeGroot Lenihan, Jason and Jacob Moczarny, Steffanie Olson and Zachary
Zenk, three great grandchildren, Kedron, Anya and Finn DeGroot, and her sisters,
Margie Ward, Bayport, MN, Kathleen Teclaw, Oshkosh, Agnes Jarosz, Wausau and
Betty Ann Munden, Virginia Beach, Va.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Leon, Edward and
Stanley and her sister, Mary Lou.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at The Church
of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Friends may call on
Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to The Church of St. Anne.

Frances' family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff
of Applegate Terrace, especially the staff of the Reflections Unit and also to
the staff with Ministry Home Care Hospice for their constant care during her
last days.
