Wikoff, Sandra Kay (Marriage - 23 December 1973)
In an intimate candlelight ceremony, at 5 o’clock on December 23, attended by
immediate family members, Sandra Kay Wikoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S.
Wikoff of St. Paul, Mn, became the bride of James Gilbert Brooks, son of Dr. and
Mrs. James Welton Brooks of Milwaukee, at the Brooks’ home in Columbia. Circuit
Judge Lowell D. Schoengarth of Neillsville, a close family friend officiated.
Following the ceremony a dinner was served at Bali-I-Wick, Osseo.
Sandra Kay, a graduate of Wisconsin University-Eau Claire, has been a teacher of
special education at Watertown. Mr. Brooks, a graduate of Wisconsin
University-Menominee (formerly Stout Institute) is a power mechanics instructor
at New Richmond High School.
The groom’s best man was Ronald Ewald of Milwaukee, and matron-of-honor was the
bride’s sister, Sharon Shou of Denver, Co.
Local Columbia residents are please that this young couple chose our beautiful
Columbia country for their marriage. To my knowledge this is the first and only
home ceremony ever to have been solemnized here.
The newlyweds are now at home in New Richmond. We extend our best wished to the
happy pair.
