Mrs. Palmer Vinger accompanied her daughter, Mrs. Richard Thompson of
Neillsville, to Whitewater Sunday, where they attended the Golden wedding
anniversary observance of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Skindingsrude.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Gungor were supper gests Wednesday of her father, William
Stabnow. The Gungors will return to Nashville, Tenn. Friday and then will leave
for Miami, Fla.
The Circles of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will meet January 10 at 1:30 p.m.:
The Naomi Circle at the church with Mrs. Harold Hendrickson as hostess, and the
Esther Circle at the home of Mrs. Clarence Verhulst and Mrs. Louis Behrens will
entertain the Dorcas Circle.
Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hendrickson were their children, Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Bowe and children of Milwaukee, and Danny Hendrickson of Sun
Prairie.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kaudy of Stetsonville and daughter, Mary of Minneapolis,
visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kaudy, Satruday evening.
Albert Franz has returned to a Marshfield hospital, where he is a patient, after
spending the holidays at his home here.
Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie were all of their children: Mr. and
Mrs. Emory Voie of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunn of Eau Claire; Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Steuber of Mondovi; Mr. and Mrs. Joe La Monica and sons of Rolling
Meadows, Il.; Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and daughter, Jane, and Mr. and Mrs.
David McFarlane.
Blaine Liebzeit underwent surgery Friday in Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Drew and family of Milwaukee were holiday guests of his
mother, Mrs. Glen Drew, and at the home of his sister, Mrs. James Turnquist and
family.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kaudy and daughter, Jane, of Stetsonville, spent Wednesday
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kaudy.
Mrs. Amy Hendrickson returned Sunday after spending Christmas week with her
daughter, Mrs. Donald Dusso, and family at Beaver Dam.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Genett, Mrs. Carl Stabnow and Kenneth Syth were dinner
guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Syth in Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kaudy visited Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Nick Denardis.
Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Abel were their children: Mr. and Mrs.
Lester Abel and family of Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Abel and family of
Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Priewe and family of Green Bay.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kaudy were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Benzschawel of
Burlington.
Miss Patrice Pakiz, who attends the University-Eau Claire, is a surgical patient
at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ystad and family of Nekoosa were recent guests of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ystad.
Miss Judith Brux of Antigo spent Friday night at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Harlan Brux. She was enroute to spend the weekend with Miss Jayne
Neuenfeldt in La Crosse.
The 84th birthday of Carl Bartz was celebrated Sunday at the Clark County Home
for the Aged, where he resides.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Verhulst in Marshfield were: Mr. and Mrs.
Celen Gotter, Miss Ruth Verhulst, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Verhulst, Mr. and Mr. Walter Hribar, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Hribar, Sr., and family, Jerry Verhulst, Linda Speich, John Koschak, Mr. and
Mrs. Marlin Laidlau and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Resch, Miss Anna Bohman, Mrs.
Dorothy Heinzen and Mr. and Mrs. Milo Frankland.
Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron have returned from Watertown, where they spent the
holidays with their daughter, Mr. Allison Dittmar and Mrs. Cyril Spangler and
their families.
Mrs. Thomas Erickson was admitted Friday to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney, Sr., spent Sunday with his sister, Sister Margaret Ann
in Baraboo.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Kesler and son, Oliver, Jr., of Manawa, were recent visitors
at the Richard Kesler home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ystad spent the holidays in Milwaukee at the home of their
daughter, Mrs. Phillip Grutza, and family.
Carl Turnquist is a patient at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.
Miss Judith Verhulst has returned to Waverly, Ia., where she attends Wartworth
College, and Miss Arlene Verhulst left Tuesday for La Crosse, where she is a
student at the university, after spending the vacation with their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst.
Robert Stewart returned to Springfield, Va., Tuesday after spending the holidays
with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart, and other relatives. Robert
and Lloyd Stewart took him to the airport in Mosinee.
Mr and Mrs. James Thiede of St. Paul, who spent the holidays with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Thiede, in Marshfield, were dinner guests Tuesday of his
grandmother, Mrs. Effie Swieso.
Mr. and Mrs. Weigert and son, Joel, and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Peterson of Fond du
Lac, visited Saturday at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie.
Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux entertained friends New Year’s Eve. Those attending
from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Kesler of Manawa, and Mr. and Mrs.
Mike Kowieski and granddaughter, Kathy of Manawa.
Emil Noah has been dismissed from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
