Humbird (10 January 1974)

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Trachsel and family spent last weekend with his mother, Mrs. Millie Trachsel, and brother, Jim Trachsel, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Greub of Neillsville spent an afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. John Greub.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kirby celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last Sunday quietly in their home. Their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Seuske of St. Paul, Mn, and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Trachsel, of Rochester, Ia., were present.

Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett were guests Sunday afternoon at the Clarence Larson home in Hixton and were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Burnett in rural Hixton.

New Year’s dinner guests in the Bernard Sieg home were Mr. and Mrs. Rolla Sieg of Fairchild and Mrs. Laura Dignin.

Mrs. Emma Gerber had as dinner guests recently Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop and family.

A number of ladies gathered at the home of Mrs. Dorethea Bobb Friday afternoon to help her celebrate her birthday, which occurred December 27.

Mr. and Mrs. William Aebersold took their two grandsons to their home near Mondovi Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barnowski and boys of Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. Battke from Milwaukee were recent guests at the Ted Polege home.

Mrs. Maude Newton returned home Wednesday night after more than a week’s visit with her daughter, Mrs. Helene Nelson, in Eau Claire.
