Timm, Violette Vera (3 AUG 1902 – 30 AUG 1968)
Mr. Fred Timm, 66, Colby, died early Friday morning, Aug. 30, 1968, at St.
Mary's Hospital, Wausau.
Services were held Monday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Colby, with the Rev. John Pinion officiating. A rosary was held at 8 p.m. Sunday
evening, Sept. 1. She was buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby.
The former Violette Vera Roder was born in Marshfield Aug. 3, 1902. When she was
a young girl she moved with her family to a farm near Milan.
Her marriage to Fred Timm took place at Weurzburg October, 29, 1924. They farmed
in the town of Johnson until 1937, and then in the town of Holton until 1947.
Since then they lived on a farm in the town of Frankfort.
Mrs. Timm was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Steven (Eunice) Lord of Miami,
Mrs. Marvin (Madonis) Altschwager of Menomonee Falls, Mrs. Floyd (Vergene)
Brunke of Milwaukee, and one son, Fred J. Timm of Colby.
There are 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also surviving are a twin
sister, Mrs. Grant (Viola) Pope of Stetsonville, and a brother, Harlow Roder of
Racine.
One sister preceded her in death.
