Kautsky, Helen (14 NOV 1899 – 17 AUG 1968)
The cremated remains of Miss Helen Kautsky of Lancaster, Calif., will be
interred Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Colby Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. R.
James Hagen officiating.
Miss Kautsky, who was 68, died Aug. 17, 1968 after a short illness. Funeral
services were held at Lancaster August 20, with the Rev. B. Jessup of the
Central Christian Church officiating.
The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby will be in charge of the arrangements.
Helen S. Kautsky was born Nov. 14, 1899, at Marshfield. She was raised in the
Colby area, and attended Lawrence College and the University of Wisconsin. For
29 years she was employed as personnel counselor for a department store in
Newark, N.J. She moved to California in 1996. During her lifetime she was a
member of Delta Gamma, a lifelong worker for the blind and braille projects.
Surviving are a brother, Emil Kautsky of Waupaca, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth
Bamster and Mrs. Marie Wright of Lancaster, Calif. There are also four nieces
and two nephews.
