Mauritz, Lawrence F. (? – 16 SEP 1968)
Lawrence F. Mauritz, husband of Cora M. Mauritz, died Sept. 16, 1968 at the
Veterans Hospital in Jamaica Plains.
Mr. Mauritz was a resident of Centre Street in Yarmouth for five years and was
born in Athens. He is a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, and was
awareded the Silber Star in the Army. He was employed by the Nelson Coal and Oil
Company, Hyannis.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bernard Ellenbecker, Unity,
and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Thursday, Sept. 19 in Hyannis, and burial was in Crucker
Park Cemetery in West Barnstable. Some of those attending were Mrs. Bernard
Ellenbecker, Richard and Erien, Unity, Clarence Ellenbecker, Dorchester, and
Mrs. Joseph Leister, Smyrna, Delaware.
