Syth, James C. (21 August 1888 - 9 January 1974)
Funeral services for James C. Syth, 85, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the
Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Leander Koopman of St. Mary’s Catholic
Church officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Hugh Christie, John Syth, Clarence Verhulst, Arleigh Syth,
Casper Lindner and Lawrence Cox. Gary Schultz sang, “In the Garden” and “Beyond
the Sunset,” accompanied by Mrs. Gary Schultz at the organ.
Those who came to attend the funeral of their uncle were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Stabnow, Jr., of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hughes and Ray Shaw of Marshfield;
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lindner of New Berlin; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ampe of Neillsville;
and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Cunningham of Wausau.
Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Farming of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Lenz and Mr. and Mrs. James Reiter of Jim Falls; and friends from the
surrounding communities.
