The Ladies Aid of the Trinity Lutheran Church will have their meeting at the home of Mrs. Arthur Stefen today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m.

The American Legion Auxiliary will meet in the Legion Hall Monday, at 8 p.m. Hostesses will be Mrs. Richard Syth, Mrs. John D. Speich, Mrs. Kenneth Speich and Mrs. Robert Stewart.

The annual meeting will be held in Immanuel United Church Sunday, January 20, at 10:45 a.m., worship services. A potluck dinner will be served at noon.

Three birthdays were celebrated Sunday at a family get-together at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Krainz. Honorees were Mrs. Ray Nickels, Val Krainz and Robert Krainz. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nickels of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Val Krainz and Larry and Ruth of Willard; and Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger.

Relatives and friends helped Mrs. David Friske celebrate her birthday at her home Sunday. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Friske, Miss Faye Friske and Jim Johnson of Whitehall.

Mrs. Harry Plunkett is convalescing at her home after being a patient in Memorial Hospital, Neillsville for seven weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart of Stanley visited Wednesday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart.

Saturday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett were Miss Alice Ellsworth and Joseph Plunkett of Tomah and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Plunkett of La Crosse. They were enroute to Las Vegas, Nev.

Friends were entertained Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Robert Carl in celebration of her birthday.

Members of the Tuesday afternoon 500 club met at the home of Mrs. Wilbur Stewart.

Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Decker were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Goeke and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Nimbar and family of Madison.

The Adult Fellowship will meet in Zion United Church of Christ Sunday, January 20. Hosts will be Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Vollrath.

Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Looker of Owen.

Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Metzke were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Albrecht of Abbotsford.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Catlin left by plane from Mosinee Saturday to spend several months at San Diego, Ca, with their son, William Catlin and their daughter, Mrs. Elaine Bloettler and their families.

Mr. and Mrs. John Jakobi and their daughter, Mrs. Roger Liebzeit, attended the funeral of their niece and cousin, Sharon Brown, 16, in Stevens Point.

The annual congregational meeting will be held January 20 at 10:45 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Installation of various organizations’ officers will be held. A potluck dinner will be served at noon.

Tech. Sgt. and Mrs. James Hefner and family have returned to Layton, Ut., after spending their holiday leave with his mother, Mrs. Catherine Hefner. Others from away who visited their mother, Mrs. Hefner, were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hefner and family of Stevens Point, who also spent some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Steiger.

The Wednesday afternoon club met at the home of Mrs. Celia Bremer.

The Intersee club was to be entertained at the home of Mrs. Leona Syth Wednesday evening, January 16, weather permitting.

Mrs. Glen Drew was to entertain members of the Birthday Club Monday evening, January 14.

Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Jakobi were their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jakobi and family of New Berlin.

The Salem Aid was to meet Tuesday afternoon, January 15, at the Zion United Church of Christ with Mrs. Otto Horn and Mrs. Harold Horn as hostesses. Mrs. Gust Horn was to be program chairman.
