German, Rose Renee (Leiby) (10 MAR 1964 - 19 AUG 2015)
Rose Renee (Leiby) German was born to Howard and Margaret (Heisler) Leiby on
March 10, 1964 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
In her early school days she attended the Tamaqua Area Schools and lived in
Lewistown Valley with a Tamaqua address. In 1973, Rose moved along with her
parents and brother to a dairy farm in rural Dorchester, Wisconsin. She attended
and then graduated from the Abbotsford High School in 1982.
After high school, Rose continued helping on the family farm. She obtained a job
a Suttner's Cheese Plant until they closed. She worked at Kramer's IGA in the
bakery, Abbotsford Produce Plant (both in Abbotsford), and at Time Federal
Savings and Loan in Owen until 1994 just prior to the birth of their son, David.
Rose Leiby and Terrence German of Owen were joined in marriage on November 13,
1993. They farmed together at the Owen farm until her death. Their son, David
was born January 6, 1995.
Rose enjoyed the farm, gardening, canning and freezing, and taking care of the
animals on the farm. As a young person, she had invited the Lord into her life
to be a follower of Christ. She was baptized and was a member of the Curtiss
Alliance Church. Rose suffered from cancer the last years of her life. She went
into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday evening, August 19, 2015.
Rose is lovingly survived by her family, church family and many friends. She is
survived in life by her husband, Terrence German and her son, David; her
brother, Lester (Sharon) Leiby of Dorchester; her sisters, Ruth Ann Kramer of
Neillsville and Linda (Carl) Swarr of Curtiss; 13 nieces and nephews and 8
grand-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Margaret Leiby and her
still-born son, Jonathan.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Curtiss
Alliance Church. Pastor Carl Swarr will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine
Hill Cemetery, Town of Mayville. Family and friends are welcome form 12:00 noon
until time of service Tuesday at the church.
