Neuman, Ruby K. (Drolshagen) (28 OCT 1934 - 21 AUG 2015)
Ruby K. Neuman, age 81, died Friday, August 21 at the Aspirus Care and Rehab
Medford where she had resided for the past 7 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 25 at the Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, Father Philip Juza and Deacon Joseph Stefancin
will officiate. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, in the Township of
Little Black. Pallbearers were Dan Ingersoll, Carl Anderson, Brad Jentzsch, Joe,
Brian and Lee Drolshagen.
Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 24 at the Hemer
Funeral Home, Medford where there will be a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service and also
from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Tuesday, August 25 at the Holy Rosary Catholic
Church, Medford.
Ruby was born on October 28, 1934 in Medford, the daughter of George A. and Elva
M. (Anderson) Drolshagen.
She attended Little White Grade School in the Township of Little Black and is a
graduate of Medford High School. Ruby married James C. Neuman, on April 21, 1955
in Medford. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1999.
Ruby was a Nurse’s Aide at the Memorial Hospital of Taylor County for a period
of time. She then worked at Dorchester Furniture in production for also a period
of time. Ruby then worked at C&J’s Bar as a bartender for a number of years
until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, painting, playing
cards, and most of all being with her family.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Klossner-Dietzler VFW
Ladies Auxiliary
Survivors include her children, Jeff (Becky Becker) Neuman of Dorchester, Judy
(Warren) Underwood of Dorchester, Janice (Gary) Messman of Stetsonville, Kathy
(Joe) Schupp of Medford and Mike (Marnie) Neuman of Milan; 13 grandchildren; 22
great grandchildren; brother John (Charlotte) Drolshagen of Medford;
sisters-in-law: Bev Drolshagen of Abbotsford, Rosie Anderson of Medford and
Roceda Neuman of Medford; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Ruby is predeceased by her parents, George A. and Elva M. (Anderson) Drolshagen;
children David J. Neuman, March 20, 1990; James T. Neuman, December 29, 2003;
brother Leighton Drolshagen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ruby’s family to be designated at a
later date.
