Simpson, Victoria "Vickie" (Nowak) (23 DEC 1918 - 19 AUG 2015)
Victoria "Vickie" (Nowak) Simpson, age 96, passed away on Wednesday August 19,
2015 at the Country Terrace of Abbotsford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 24, 2015
at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Peter Manickam will
officiate. Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery in Withee, WI. Family
and friends are welcome from 10:00 AM until time of service Monday at the
church.
Vickie was born on December 23, 1918, the daughter of Iqnatius and Theresa (Krzykacz)
Nowak in Chicago, IL. She attended Forest Grove School. On January 26, 1946
Vickie married James Edward Simpson.
Vickie worked as a nanny in Evanston, IL and then for Nu-mode hosiery before she
want to work for a dentist until her retirement and move to Abbotsford. She was
very active with the Ladies Auxiliary, St. Bernard's Church, and VFW. During her
free time she enjoyed crocheting and playing cards.
Vickie is survived by her sister: Sylvia Schafer of Pallatine, IL; many nieces
and nephews.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, husband; James on June 24, 2003,
her sisters; Claire (Tony) Sandel and Helen (Ted) Gowey, and a brother; Matthew
(Josephine) Nowak.
