Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent Sunday in Stanley at the home of her sister, Mrs. Veda
Mertens.
Mrs. Vincent Sowieja accompanied her grandson, Charles Sowieja, to Madison and
Milwaukee Friday to spend the weekend with relatives.
Weekend guess of Mrs. Alice Speich were Miss Karla Hoffman of Waupun and Kenneth
Grieber of Minneapolis.
Mrs. Bertha Dallman and Mrs. James Metcalf were dinner guests Sunday at the
Allan Dallman home.
Mr and Mrs. Norman Mayenschien and children, Jill and Joe, and her mother, Mrs.
Leona Syth, spent the weekend in Chicago with their sister and daughter, Miss
Geraldine Syth.
The Jolly Homemakers Club met Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Dennis
Fleischmann. Mrs. Jerald Richmond presided. The project lesson on “Cultural
Arts” was presented by Mrs. Donald Kirkcounell.
It was decided to pack boxes of goodies for Valentine’s Day for the aged and
shut-ins at the next meeting, to be held February 13 at 8 p.m. at the home of
Mrs. Lloyd Horn.
Mrs. Altah Thomas was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Marshfield Tuesday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harp of Chippewa were dinner guests Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs.
Viv Carteron. They also visited Mrs. Florence Schwarze and William Richmond.
Mrs. Thomas Erickson was dismissed last week Tuesday from the Memorial Hospital
in Neillsville.
