Gries, Delephine (30 AUG 1904 – 4 NOV 1968)
Mrs. John Gries, 64, Colby, died early Monday morning, Nov. 4, 1968, at her
home.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic,
Church, Colby. The Rev. John Pinion officiated and burial was made in the parish
cemetery.
The former Delephine Weix was born in Colby Aug. 30, 1904, and was married to
John Gries June 21, 1926, at St. Mary's in Colby. The couple lived in Colby all
their lives. Shew as a member of the Christian Mother's Society, the Royal
Neighbors, the catholic Society of Foresters, the American Legion Auxiliary and
was a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary.
In addition her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lester Miller of
Abbotsford; two grandchildren, and a brother, Marcel Weix, Dorchester.
