Three birthdays were celebrated Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kaudy.
Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Metcalf and Ervin Metcalf of
Janesville. Those having birthdays were Mr. and Mrs. Kaudy the 27th and 18th of
January, respectively, and Ervin Metcalf, whose birthday was January 19.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Petron and daughters, Gwendolyn and Jennifer, of Palmer,
Alaska, left Monday after spending a week with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs.
George Caliebe, and with the Earl Caliebe family. They will visit relatives in
Minnesota before returning home.
Mrs. Helen Behrens entertained members of the Canasta Club at supper Friday
evening.
Hugh Christie was taken to a Marshfield hospital Friday morning following an
apparent heart attack.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Flikke and children spent the weekend at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Christie, and with her father. Other visitors at the
Christie home from Saturday until Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Vine of
Janesville. They also spent some time with Mr. Christie at the hospital. Mr.
Vine is a brother of Mrs. Christie.
Monday evening supper guests of Mrs. William Kuester were Mr. and Mrs. Leon
Kuester and family and Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Toburen.
Due to inclement weather, the Zion Adult Fellowship meeting was postponed until
February 17.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Abel spent the weekend in Kaukauna at the home of their
son, Lester, and family and with their daughter’s family in Green Bay.
