Meyer, Dr. Charles A. (1891? – 4 NOV 1968)
Dr. Charles A. Meyer, 77, of 9260 Renton Av., a Seattle physician and surgeon,
formerly of Colby, died Monday, Nov. 4, 1968, in Seattle.
Born in Colby, he went to Seattle in 1922, where he interned at Seattle General
Hospital. He practiced in Carbonado, Wash., and it Troy, Idaho, from 1925 to
1941. In August of 1941, Dr. Meyer returned to Seattle, where he practiced
medicine on Beacon Hill until 1958.
Dr. Meyer received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin
and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University. He was a Navy
veteran of World War I. He also served on a Selective Service Board in Seattle
for 15 years, and was a teacher and principal in Wisconsin.
He is survived by two sons, Charles F. Meyer of Tacoma and John D. Meyer of
Seattle; two grandchildren, Jeffrey A. and Karen L. of Washington; four
brothers, Frank, Ben and Walter of Wisconsin and Don of Seattle; and three
sisters, Lillian Hall and Mildred Bailey of Seattle, and Amy Schuette of
Wisconsin.
