Jantsch, Louis Frank (1 MAY 1913 – 28 NOV 1968)
Funeral services for Louis Frank Jantsch, 55, of route 1, Dorchester, whose
death occurred of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning Nov. 28, 1968, were held
Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester. The rev.
Gerald Schuh of St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, officiated.
The pallbearers for the interment, which was made in Dorchester Memorial
Cemetery, were Walter Gridel, Joe Helfert, Nick Helfert, Paul Helfert, Frank
Hoffman and Frank Schopper.
Mr. Jantsch had stopped at a tavern at Cherokee Wednesday evening, and upon
leaving entered his car, started the motor and was overcome by monoxide. His
death was not discovered until early Thursday afternoon. Marathon County
Coroner, William O'Connor of Mosinee, investigated the death.
Mr. Jantsch was born in the area. About five years ago he began work for a
Stratford Mobile home manufacturer. He never married.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Jantsch, one brother, George,
at Abbotsford, and another brother, Leonard, Athens.
He was preceded in death by his father in Dec. 1965.
