Hilber, Barbara Ann (16 NOV 1968)

Miss Barbara Ann Hilber, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hilber Sr., Colby, and Peter Foster Davel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davel, Loyal, joined in marriage Saturday, Nov. 16, 1968, at a 1 p.m. ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. john B. Pinion officiated at the ceremony.

The bride was attired in a white satin empire dress. The skirt was covered with Chantilly lace and a train descended from the shoulders. Both the dress and train were trimmed with sparkling sequins. She also wore a pillbox headpiece trimmed with sequins, to which a three tiered veil of illusion was attached. She carried a bouquet of light and dark pink roses, white carnations and white satin streamers with rose buds attached.

The maid of honor was Miss Diane Smart of Menomonie, and the bridesmaids were Miss Gerrie Hilber of Colby and Mrs. Paula Maki of Milwaukee.

The bride's attendants wore rose colored empire dresses with a light pink train attached at the shoulders. Sequins surrounded the midriff line.

Flower girls were Hori Hilber of Colby and Dana Davel of Loyal, and the miniature bride was Tammy Hilber.

The best man was Dale Zimmerman, and the groomsmen were Tom LaBarge and Dale Maki, and the ushers were Duane Hilber and Scott Davel.

The festivities of the wedding day included a reception held at the Colby City Hall from 2 until 5 p.m., a dinner at St. Mary's School and a dance at Sportsman's Park in Colby.

The bride is a 1966 graduate of Colby High School and attended La Crosse State and attended Wood County Campus in Marshfield, and the groom is a 1966 graduate of Loyal High School, attended Whitewater State University, and is now attending Metropolitan College in Milwaukee.

The couple is residing at 2433 West Michigan, Milwaukee.
