Stumpner, Carolyn (9 NOV 1968)
Miss Carolyn Stumpner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stumpner, route 1, Owen
(Clark Co., Wis.), was united in marriage to Victor Smazal, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Smazal, route 1, Abbotsford, Nov. 9, 1968, at a 1 p.m. ceremony at St.
Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, with Father Hodnik officiating.
The bride was attired in a long white dress with a straight skirt. A pearl crown
topped her short veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
The bride's maid of honor was Jennifer Stumpner of Delavan and the best man was
Kenneth Smazal of Abbotsford.
Bridesmaids were Marcella Smazal, Abbotsford and Janice Benner, Unity. Groomsmen
were Paul Stumpner Jr., Owen and James Hahl of Colby, and ushers were Terry
Recore, Colby and Kenneth Stumpner, Owen.
Festivities of the day included a reception at Atwood, followed by supper and
dance at Atwood Hall.
The bride is a 1967 graduate of Colby High School and has been working at the
Spencer Dairy Belt. The groom is also a graduate of Colby High School and is
working at Gabedein Silo Company, Unity.
The couple will be residing at 210 Birch Street, Abbotsford.
